Planning your next trip can feel like shooting a dart in the dark right now. Finding the right airline that will make your safety a priority can be stressful during this time. With protocols changing by the day, it’s nice to know that some airlines are continuing to practice distance seating by keeping the middle seat open on all flights. Seat Guru is a great tool to use to help see what seats are available on your flight.
Easy to use, all you need to input is your airline, departure date and flight number. Pop that information in and Seat Guru will generate the seat map, seat dimensions, and a detailed list of what amenities are available. You can also find more information about check-in procedures, cutoff times, baggage, and so much more based on your airline! It is still good practice to double check with the airline directly if the information is correct/ up to date.
The cool feature that I find interesting are the seat reviews! You can find the best seats in the house and the seats that, according to the reviews, suck! Like the window seats with no window! zReading the reviews are pretty interesting as well and really highlight first world problems.
SeatGuru is also used to book flights. You can find inexpensive tickets but I always recommend not to purchase airline tickets from travel agencies. Third party tickets are great for price but a nightmare if you miss your flight or there is a major delay. Always buy directly with the airline even if it means you have to spend a little more. You’ll have the reassurance knowing that you will be protected by the airline when needed.
Travel will change for the better and I am looking forward to it all. Until then, I hope these travel tips and tricks make your adventures a little easier and safer!
