Can you believe were already half way into 2021??
So what’s new? What’s shifting for the better? So Much!
Career
I was blessed to be working through 2020 and into 2021 – double the blessing to be able to work from home! For those that don’t know I have two jobs (not including blogging), full time in marketing & less than part-time for an airline. In 2020 I took a voluntary leave from my airline position, and little did I know it was the reset I needed. Being able to focus on one job and life’s events really set me up return with a different mindset, don’t sweat the small stuff. In May I was recalled back to my airline position and I was a little apprehensive to return. I decided to anyways and so far it’s been great.
The shift? Well… I started my own SOCIAL MEDIA AGENCY!!!! I introduce you to Diosa Collective!
Yes, that’s right! It’s been my dream to work remotely AND work for myself. I gave myself a goal to retain 3 clients and then make the big announcement. I DID JUST THAT! That’s right your girls has her own clients!! Hustling behind the scenes has finally paid off! So the plan is to keep my airline job (the flight benefits are bomb), let go of my full time marketing job and be a bad ass SMM!
Goal(s) for the next 6 months: On board 2-3 more new clients
Love
My Gavinator and I are rocking at life together and it’s been great. We started the year on a high when moving into OUR place and it’s been smooth sailing. We have been talking and planning for the next milestones of our relationship that include marriage, babies and moving to LA. Our relationship started, and was built in San Francisco, so it’s difficult to think that one day we will be closing our “SF Chapter” to start a new one in LA. As much as I love San Francisco, my heart (family) will forever be in LA and each time we visit – it becomes a little harder to leave. We know that when timing is right, we will begin to make those decisions and shift back to LA.
Goal(s) for the next 6 months: tying the knot & start planning our move for 2022.
Family
Family dynamics have been difficult through 2020 and 2021. Out of respect for my family Im not going to say too much. A loved one has been living with a family member that has been not only been abusing this loved emotionally but financially. We have called for wellness checks, Chase and Kaiser have both filed elder abuse reports and both the cops and social workers are useless. We as family have had to obtain lawyers and it’s all just emotionally tiring.
Little by little things are going in favor of my loved one but things move so slow and it’s all lost time that we could be having with this loved one. I try to remind myself that God has a bigger plan and no matter the outcome, we are doing all we can. This part of my life has been difficult to share because if anyone is going through the same situation, I would want them to know that they’re not alone. I know that my loved one would want this to be private and that’s how it will remain.
It’s a weird space to navigate when wanting to share but needing to keep it secret. I can’t wait to get back into therapy and talk this ish out with a professional!! I do however want to thank the Chingona AF -Magical Mujer Morning Room. These ladies are diosas and i thank them for creating a safe space, for their prayers and energy! I never intend to become emotional in these rooms, but the energy that comes through is powerful.
Goal(s) for the next 6 months: Return to therapy & trust in God’s plan.

2021 has been full of blessings, energy shifting for the better and heavy moments to carry. Most of you follow me on Instagram and I will admit that I am as guilty as most when it comes to sharing only highlights. When it comes to family hardships – it’s difficult to share but if anyone is ever feeling like they need a place to unpack or find support within a community… reach out and I’d be happy to introduce you to the communities that have been there for me!
How has the first 6 months been for you? What’s shifting in your life? What do you have planned for the next six months?
