24 hours in Temecula Wine Country.
Growing up in LA I always thought that there was nothing to do in Temecula.. man was I wrong! Temecula is home to one of California’s finest wineries and recognized as the ‘jewel’ of Riverside County. Located just east of the I-15 fwy, and are within an hours drive from Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County or the Palm Springs area. Temecula Valley is Southern California’s Wine Country.

Where To Stay
There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs located near all the wineries. If you’re going with a large group, like I did, I would recommend staying in an AirBnb. We stayed in this home – it was perfect for all 8 of us and for hosting our friends for dinner. Despite the decor, we had a great time in this home from using the bbq for dinner, to roaming around the acre of property, to lounging on the sun deck and enjoying the view of the sunset.
Where to Go
There are so many beautiful wineries to visit while in Temecula. During our time we visited Wilson Creek and Wilson Creek only. My childhood best friend Melanie and her husband Robert, both recommended we visit. Since Robert works at the winery, he HOOKED IT UP in ways that I couldn’t even imagine.
On Saturday he set us up in the tasting room and wine was flowing like no other. We eventually took the party to the outdoor area and enjoyed even more wine. On Sunday, we did a bit more wine tasting but this time Robert gave us a gran tour of the whole property. From the fancy tasting rooms to the vineyard to the barrel room, Wilson Creek is breathtaking.
I 1000% recommend visiting. What I loved about Wilson Creek is that it’s inviting to everyone. The atmosphere is light and fun versus uppity and stiff. You can roam around from the tasting rooms, to outdoor seating and into the vineyards. The variety of wine is incredible and fairly priced. I am a white wine lover so my favorites were the Jubilee, White Cabernet Sauvignon and the Peach Belini.
