My fertility has always been a question in my mind, whether or not I would have complications with pregnancy. My cycle has been irregular since day one and gynecologists explained that my cycle is easily impacted by stress and exercise.
Now that Gavin and I are married and are surrounded by friends becoming parents – we are warming up to the idea of a baby. I wanted to have a better understanding of my body and mentally prepare for what’s to come.
Pricing, Insurance and Appointments
I walk pass Kindbody facility frequently and finally decided to go online and check out services. They do accept insurance – check it out here. Pricing and appointments are found here. I booked the 60 min fertility assessment and it was everything I could have asked for and more!
The Process
My appointment was at 1:30 and I walked out at 3:30. They did a full ultrasound of the whole uterus and checked both ovaries. I really wish this was part of our regular gyno checkups because to see the inside of your body created a moment of awe and appreciation. I was like wow that’s me, that MY body! Overall everything looked great, I currently have 22 follicles that my body produced.
The next step is when the doctor comes in and goes over your game plan, walks you through your images and explains in full detail how your uterus is performing. It was a lot of information and the doctor was kind to wright down notes.

Next is the bloodwork, the doctor will go over what they recommend is needed. DO NOT be afraid to ask how much or to save certain tests for a later time. They do have in-house prices that are inexpensive regardless of insurance. Ask to see the up-to-date sheet, this was given to me on 6.28.22.

Last step: a follow up appointment is booked to go over lab work with the doctor. Depending on the results, you will be given the next steps. As of now, Gavin and I are clear to try for a baby au naturel. Our homework is to track my ovulation cycle by having to pee on an ovulation stick everyday until we can dictate when I ovulate.
This is all A LOT and can feel overwhelming but I hope this inspires you to walk in and check in on yourself and health. Within the 1.5 hours I felt like years of worry and stress melted away. I learned during my appointment that sadly woman’s health is underfunded and should be much more advanced. There should be more of an understanding and studies around the factors impact our periods and causes them to be irregular.
I am extremely grateful to Kindbody, I am much more excited for this baby journey and thankful for all of you for sending positive vibes!
